Dr kept walking out during exam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I think I was double booked. She walked out 2 separate times during my exam. She didn't really address my concerns. After I told the nurse I didn't want to talk about my weight or know my weight, that was another topic of conversation. I felt like I was being judged for my weight gain. She did not seem very compassionate or present.

Scheduling issue

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Booked an appointment online. When I showed up for the appointment I was told they couldnt perform the test (mammogram) because the technician went home.

I rescheduled. The second appointment was cancelled because the mammogram

wasnt working. They rescheduled my appointment for the following week. When I showed up for that appointment I was told the person booking the appointment scheduled me to have the test in Geneva Ohio, 45 minutes from me.

I live in Geauga County. They said the girl accidentally put in Geneva because it was right next to Geauga. They tried to blame the mistake on the new system when in fact the person scheduling appointments cant read! Then they made me feel like it was my fault even though they could see I had two other tests done the same time my mammogram appointment was cancelled because the mammogram machine didnt work.

Thenl I had to register twice and they managed to squeeze me in but it made me late for another appointment I had elsewhere.

The technician was great and I just hope she didnt have to give up her lunch break to do my mammogram. The scheduling people at UH are terrible.

On February 4 2022, I had an appt for a bone density at Orange place location I believe is considered in Beachwood Ohio

My appt was at 11:30 at your Orange Place facility. I received a text that morning telling me that when I arrived to stay in my car and tap on that message to check me in.

I had arrived at 10:50 (was concerned about weather conditions). I then did so and the message back to me said I WAS CHECKED IN. Temperature was 23 degrees and I had 1/4 tank of gas. I sat there with my car running until !2:15 thinking appts were backed up.

I called the facility then and it just rang and rang with nobody answering for 20 minutes. I then decided to walk it to see if I could wait in the building. I was handed a mask and I said to the woman that I had been waiting in the car waiting to be called into the building for a long time way past my appt time. She said this has happened to so many people.

The system isnt working. Dont listen to that text. Next time just walk in. I went to the bone density dept at 12:45 and told them how I had been sitting.

She looked me up and said you arent checked in. I showed her my phone saying that I was checked in and she said this is happening to several people. We have been complaining for three months. Youve missed your appt.

we have to reschedule I told her that was unsatisfactory and that I was going to be taken immediately. She went back to speak with Danielle who gives the test. She came back and said that Danielle would take me now. Danielle gave up her lunch time to take care of me.

I am 75.

You kept me waiting in a car thinking I might run out of gas in freezing weather all that time FOR NOTHING!!! I was shaking so bad with anger that Danielle had to calm me down before she could help me. You should be ashamed of yourself for doing this to patients. The test got done and I vomited in the parking lot afterwards.

Note: the woman at the front desk and Danielle did try to calm me down and understood what I went through. You are lucky to have them. Very kind ladies. As for how you and your computer systems are handling this is worthless.

As I said before you should be ashamed of yourself. I am calling the tv stations and listing this all on social media!

Hospital was a horror show! No one knew what they were doing! How anyone can call them Heros is beyond! Acting nurse which was only a helper Kasie was the worst. Had no clue what she was doing and anything you asked for she completely ignored you. Kept blaming everyone else. We got discharged at 12 pm didnt leave hospital until 3:30! She should be ashamed to be working in hospital. Someone should teach her how to do her job!

Service(s): I'll try to keep this short...after several visits to urgent care, and the current climate of don't give anyone antibiotics...while I was attempting to pay 1st bill of $60 @216-844-****/800-859-**** (letter states 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) phones were off. When I finally reached someone, she said they were all in a mtg. Why an automated phone line would need to be "interrupted" if all personnel were in a mtg is beyond me...but moving forward. Once I was able to get through, I ddwas told the computers had been down. Conflicting stories, should have known. I realized that each urgent care visit was getting more expensive, so I went through a list of drs in my area. The computer said appts available as soon as Oct 11. It said I could make the appt online, but I am old school so I called. The woman who answered said 'nope, no spots available'. I thanked her and went back to the screen and made the appt online. The page said I would get email notification, but it threw me out. I attempted it a 2nd timed with an appt for the 12th, and again no email and thrown out. I called the office to see if the online appts TOOK...same woman said did you just call here? I said yes I did and you told me there was nothing available. She said that wasn't me. Bold face lie, very distinctive voice, and how else would she know I just called. She asked all the same questions the computer had. When she asked what I was being seen for-as I was saying bronchitis, she was talking over me saying she cant let me in the office if its respiratory- so I'll have to have a virtual appt. She called back to dr Heller's nurse to see if that would work, came back and told me someone would call at 2ish today to get ready for virtual appt. I got emails confirming the appt, and the appt was made on the 7th. Today I made sure my phone was in front of me at 2...to be ready. At 2:46, one minute after my appt was scheduled, I called to say I hadn't received the call with the instructions. I was informed there are no calls, only links sent. But I wouldnt be getting one because my appt was cancelled at 8am this morning because 1st time appts cannot be virtual appts. The rude woman on the 7th that made the virtual appt knew it was my first appt!Angry when she scheduled it. The last time I was at urgent care, the dr gave me a z-pack. And I told him it wouldnt work. He said try it. It did work for 5 days. When I called back to say my symptoms were worsening on day 6...they said you have to wait 5 more days because that is how zpacks work. Meanwhile I am still getting sicker. On day 9, I called back, went over the visit, the conversation and the call on day 6--and was told they can only call new medicine in within 7 days...so now you need to be re-seen (and recharged, no doubt). I have a history of pneumonia with sepsis and cant really afford these multiple errors health wise. I cannot believe that there have been SO MANY coincidences? Involving my choice to visit uh hospitals...but there wont be any more!!

I just became a UH patient and i haven't been pleased with the service. I've called at least 4 x and left messages to no avail. Now i have a suspended drivers license because they never released my records to NEON or even answered my messages. I need my license for work which i'm hopefully going back within the next week. I even downloaded the forms online and tried taking them to UH to have them filled out but evidently the office wasn't open. They rush to send you that bill but when it comes to handling the business at hand they stink!

My son went to UH on Monday evening to receive a kidney transplant on Tuesday morning 5a.m. we were told it was perfectly fine to wait in his room, he also told the surgical staff his family was waiting in his room, no one communicated with us except his nurse, who could only provide info they received from the surgical staff, the doctor came up around 3pm said they had done the surgery a few hours ago he would be up from recovery soon well 2 more hours went by with no word finally I went to the desk secretary to ask where recovery was she was very rude and sarcastic as if it was a problem for her to assist the disappointment continued from there every day we ring for the nurse the desk staff says they're getting the nurse yet the nurse never comes, once the nurse comes in he asked why we hadn't called we stated we did he stated he was never called.

Last night my son needed the nurse in order to get to the restroom yet again the nurse never comes and my son used it all over himself.

this is unacceptable behavior and I am ready to seek healthcare from another hospital. hospital.ChChoos maybe the shows, disappoint finall

I called the doctors office who placed my pump and they said to just call them after it is scheduled and the will have someone come and turn my pump back in after the MRI since it will shut it off. University Hospital - Was crippled by standard surgery with zero accountability and much deception.

I realize I need to get on with my life the best I can but someone needs to be accountable. I would appreciate any creditable input or advice from anyone. Thank you.

Updated by user Oct 15, 2020

If I drop this I will have regrets for the rest of my life. This experience was unthinkable and I have to live with it.

I can not let this happen to anyone else. I have much more information I may add in the future.

Original review Oct 18, 2020
A University Hospital surgeon totally scammed me by hiding x-rays of faulty surgery. The hidden x-ray is shown on this post.

The surgeon's name is William Stanfield. Fourteen months later a second opinion surgeon showed these to me and my mouth just dropped immediately. I will be crippled for life. After three more operations I reached out to have surgeon disciplined and get some money back.

When I reviewed Stanfield's office notes I was astonished. The reports were entirely fiction and so easy to prove. Two years of not working, over 140 PT appointments in all. Their system is iron clad.

I could only appeal to single individual advocate from the local hospital where the surgery was performed, thus zero authority. Did not want a lawyer and now it is probably too late. This surgeon was so at fault I thought UH would really want to know this for the sake of their organization, evidently not. This advocate person acted as a shield as my only point of contact.

Gave her all my OVERWELMING information and she said it was out of her hands and sent it to legal and gave me their number. Called many times, it is a recording that nobody responds to. Try it 216 767-****. I made advocate send me information that she emailed this legal department and most significant proof was not included as I asked her to also send me that same information.

I really needed to get through to that number so they would have all information. I received a letter on 10/7/2020 from Katie Carwardine who assessed case. LEGAL not medical and she dismissed and closed my case with letter full of babble. I called her number to let her know that all my information probably was not submitted after the closure letter but low and behold it was the same phantom voicemail number.

The office is at the Management Service Center and I went there and spoke to a secretary who came down to the lobby to talk to me. This was before I got the letter claiming zero responsibility. She assured someone was going to call me back. Nobody ever did.

Prior to this in May of 2019 when I realized I got scammed I went into University Orthopedics in Sheffield Village, Ohio and spoke to the surgeon's (William Stanfield) director Matt Frombach and he was far from empathetic. All he was worried about was liability. I am sure he followed up and view my x-rays.

If this was a reliable organization he should have at least done something. There are so many things I can not do now and I am scared what the rest of my life will be like.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I have a similar story, a SW General/UH gynecologist performed disfiguring, numerous procedures.

The consent was altered after the surgery was completed, thus anesthesia is also liable. I was not cleared in Pre-admission testing, my body could not withstand. Two years later I had a third surgery by a fellowship trained reconstructive doctor. I am still in shock what the first doctor and his partner did to me.

4 years later I discover these doctors are not “privileged” by the hospital to perform any of the surgeries. I found out insurance fraud as the doctor bills as a different surgery, I didn’t have done, because he is privileged in that. UH legal team dismissed me stating, the doctor is in private practice, so not responsible. They do not care what happens in their surgical rooms, just as long as they get paid!

This doctor continues! He photographs nude while unconscious, keeps photos on his “private” server. The SW hospital police state Cease and Desist, when rape charges are filed.

Stay away from UH! Anything can and will happen to you under anesthesia, it will takes years to figure out what the surgical staff allowed to happen to you!

Long wait

I sat in the waiting room 15 minutes before my appointment. I was then told to take a seat.my apt was at 9:15. At 9:45a man who had an appt at 9:15 walked back to the nurses desk and was told they didnt know we were here. Even though we both were standing there and they knew my appt was first, they sat him in a room . Its 10:00 and Im still waiting. It is unacceptable. Waiting was bad enough, but then being pushed aside was beyond acceptable.

The lack of care

I am contacting you because the traditional method of calling isn't working. I'm a new customer. I called to make an appointment because I'm on a new medication that isn't agreeing with me. I called on a Monday the women who answered was great and got me an appointment on the next day at 2:30. I called at 12PM to verify my appointment. It was verified but I said I haven't received a link for the zoom appt. I was told (Kieth Cavey) would send me the link shortly before the appointment. I called back at 2PM, 2:15 PM, 2:30 PM, at 2:30 I was told to call back in 10 minutes. I called back but sat on hold for 25 min. A man finally answered and said he was going to contact Kieth and he would contact me from either a call or email shortly. Neither happened. Fast forward to Thursday November 19th 2020. I called the women who answered put me on hold for about 15 min. She said she didn't understand why this happened and was transferring me to her manager because it was appropriate. I was informed the manager was on another call and I was put on hold for 30 min! The same woman answered finally and said that the manager was on the same call still. She asked for my information and said she would contact me shortly. Well that was two days ago. I'm very disappointed with the level of service because I'm taking a medication for depression and the medication needs to be changed. So I'm here dealing with the effects basically suffering because UH seems to be very dysfunctional. Who treats someone with mental health concerns this way? All I want is to speak to someone who can help me change my medication or get it adjusted. This is beyond ridiculous that I have to go this route to get care! Hopefully someone will contact me and make this right or atleast attempt to. James Rondo
